HomeAid Phoenix and Tri Pointe Homes Celebrate the Renovation Project at St. Vincent de Paul during dedication ceremony
It was a joyful occasion to gather onsite at St. Vincent de Paul’s central Phoenix campus, as HomeAid Phoenix and Tri Pointe Homes celebrated the completion of the renovations to the SVdP’s Activity Room, including new flooring, a fresh coat of paint, needed electrical work, and other necessary renovations needed to the 20+ year old space. Used as a multi-purpose space, the room houses the nonprofit’s clothing closet, barber shop and often serves as overnight sleeping quarters for the local community.
In a short dedication ceremony, Cindy Quenneville, Executive Director of HomeAid Phoenix, and Jessica Berg, Chief Operating Officer at St. Vincent de Paul, talked about the meaningful transition of the space to the staff and visitors of SVdP. James Attwood, Division President at Tri Pointe Homes, spoke about the positive impact the project made on his team as the project’s Builder Captain, and thanked the trade partners that dedicated their time and materials through 100% in-kind donations, to see the project through to the finish line.
“We are so very grateful to HomeAid Phoenix, Tri Pointe Homes, and all of the generous contractors who worked on this project. It had been on our wishlist for so long! Our Phoenix Dining Room serves some of the most vulnerable folks in our community – hundreds of plates at each meal. It’s not only about the food, but about being welcomed and accepted and treated with love and dignity. Our activity room now reflects how we want folks to be treated and to feel when they walk into our facility.”

“It was a great honor to be able to support St. Vincent de Paul (SVdP) with the remodeling of their Activity Room. The facility is located within the SVdP dining hall area where they serve over 600 meals every day. This support helped to enhance an area that is utilized for sharing clothes, haircuts, overflow shelter and by the team at SVdP. The Activity Room showcases the dignity and respect every person deserves.”
