Maggie’s Place opens Newly Expanded Family Success Center with Ceremonial Ribbon Cutting

HomeAid Phoenix successfully completed its second build project in the Phoenix valley, hosting a ribbon cutting celebration at the 1,600 square foot expansion of the Family Success Center at Maggie’s Place. The essential expansion allows Maggie’s Place to broaden and expand program offerings and gives them the necessary space for their support services and donation center.

The project, designed in-kind by CCBG Architects Inc., and captained by PWI Residential, Shea Homes and Woodside Homes, along with countless donors and trade partners, expanded the Center to over 5,900 square feet.

The celebration, which took place inside the newly expanded space at Maggie’s Place, included short speeches by HomeAid Phoenix Executive Director Cindy Quenneville, Maggie’s Place CEO Laura Magruder, representatives from our Builder Captain companies, David Mueller of PWI Residential, Joe Vannelli of Woodside Homes and Don Murphy of Shea Homes, before heading outside to cut the ceremonial ribbon at the front doors of the new Center.

“Maggie's Place is grateful for the HomeAid Phoenix partnership.”, stated Laura Magruder, Maggie’s Place CEO. “The Family Success Center is the hub of our community, having a welcoming space for our families to engage in fellowship and services is key. On behalf of all the moms and kiddos we serve, thank you for your generous support”.

Maggie’s Place provides an invaluable service to our community, welcoming homeless pregnant and parenting women and their children into a safe and loving community, providing life-changing programs and ongoing services to help them to become self-sufficient.

HomeAid Phoenix Executive Director, Cindy Quenneville commented “The dedication of the project teams and trade partners that worked on this facility was truly outstanding. Their passion came through in the amazing workmanship of the beautiful new space.” adding “We are honored to work with Maggie’s Place and help provide them with this vital space to continue to grow and serve Phoenix homeless pregnant and parenting women and their children.”
