2024 Paint-A-Thon at House of Refuge

Join us for the annual Paint-A-Thon at House of Refuge-Mesa

It’s back again for a 4th year, and this time we get to finish what we started… painting the last 20 houses at House of Refuge in Mesa.

Event Completed. Visit our News & Press page for an event recap and photos from the event!

Our one-day volunteer blitz brings the home building industry together to make a positive impact in the community.  Frequently, the first maintenance item to be removed from an operational budget is painting, so community partners may have gone years without this much-needed improvement. During this event, volunteer teams work together to paint the exteriors of the housing facilities at House of Refuge. Over the past 3 years, HomeAid Phoenix has painted 51 of the housing units at House of Refuge, in addition to several of the units having been freshly painted in the few years prior. In 2024, we will complete this project by painting the final 20 units.

House of Refuge

Located in southeast Mesa on part of the former Williams Air Force Base, House of Refuge maintains 88 housing units to provide safe and stable transitional housing to families who are experiencing homelessness. Professional staff work with families on regaining dignity, healing from trauma, finding employment, and ultimately obtaining permanent housing. Learn more: https://houseofrefuge.org/
